A SHORT EXPERIMENTAL FILM IN THE MAKING

Scars is a visual wonderland, a meditative medium exploring the world of our inner demons and self-discovery. The narrative is driven by a poem; the omniscient poet, an anonymous woman, projects her internal and external afflictions onto the world around her.

Through three distinct chapters, the narrator experiences sorrow, hope, and strength. A natural and dream-like instrumental accompanies the narrator's voice as the film moves through three metaphors:

01. the earth as a broken human body,

02. the water as the fluid human mind, and

03. the air as the human soul, which is liberated at the end of the journey.

The blend of animation and live-action examines the blurry human experience of coping with and moving on from one's own scars.
